Tot Tuesday: Manny's Toolbox by Marcy Kelman

Welcome to Tot Tuesday – a weekly feature where I review and share a children’s book. Children’s books are such a big part of my life now that I want to share them for other parents, grandparents or anyone who buys a child a book with the hope of instilling a lifelong love of reading.

The books I review and share are generally books from my daughter’s bookshelves and her library selections. She generally selects library books by a very technical method of grabbing every book in her reach and shoving them into the bag we bring with us. Thus, each week will be a surprising post.

Manny's Toolbox [With 7 Tool-Shaped Books] (Disney Handy Manny)by Marcy Kelman, Alan Batson (Illustrator) - My Mom bought this for Sammie a year or so ago when she first became obsessed with Manny and his crew of talking tools. It has a cute little carrying handle on the top, but the best part is the little cardstock miniature tools that actually come out of the pages. They are nestled into recesses on each page, but Sammie is able to get them out on her own. Each tool pull out is its own separate book that provides facts and tidbits of information about the function of each tool. This book stays at my parent’s house and Sammie plays with it almost every single time we are there. I highly recommend this book for any kid that loves tools, building things, or Handy Manny.
